Dr Bryan Wang is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, with an interest in Shoulder & Elbow, Knee and Sports Injuries. He has more than 18-years of experience in the management of general orthopaedic conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries and fractures of the upper and lower limbs.
After graduating from the National University of Singapore in 2005 with a placement on the Dean’s List, Dr Bryan then embarked on his training in orthopaedic surgery and was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. After completion of his specialist training, he gained admission as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2015.

Fellowship Trained in Canada
Under the Eastern Health Alliance scholarship, he underwent further advanced training in the field of Shoulder & Elbow, Knee and Sports injuries at the Pan Am Clinic in Canada for one year. There, he trained under the tutelage of Professor Peter MacDonald, who is the current President of the prestigious American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) society and Canadian Orthopaedic Association. During his time there, he was involved in the care of professional athletes from the National Hockey League as an assistant team physician of the Winnipeg Jets. This comprehensive medical care involved game-day rinkside coverage to pre- and post-season physicals of the players.
Passion in Teaching
Prior to setting up his own practice, Dr Bryan was a Clinical Lecturer with both the Yong Loo Lin and Lee Kong Chian Schools of Medicine. He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. He has been involved in the training of orthopaedic surgery residents in his role as a Core Faculty member since 2016. On top of that, he also received an Outstanding Faculty Award from the Singhealth Residency programme in 2021 for his role in mentoring the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. He is also regularly invited as a teaching faculty for both local and regional courses to share his expertise with orthopaedic residents and surgeons on the latest concepts and technical advances of Shoulder & Elbow, Knee and Sports injuries.
Research & Publication
Dr Bryan also has a keen interest in translational research and has multiple publications in renowned international peer-reviewed journals. He has also been an invited reviewer for both local and international journals.
Dr Bryan served his National Service as part of the Commando formation with the Singapore Army and is well aware of the innate desire to return to peak performance whilst minimising downtime. He strongly believes that no two patients are alike and that every treatment plan must be tailored to each patient through a collaborative partnership. Nothing gives him greater satisfaction than helping his patients achieve their goals, and he firmly believes in the philosophy of “Restoring Function, Embracing Life”.
Dr Bryan enjoys long-distance running and swimming. In his free time, he is often found unwinding on the trails or spending time with his family. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Hokkien.
